The Design Help Service
The Design Help Service was set up in 2001 (see press page) to accommodate the growing number of clients who wanted input in a very specific way, without the cost of a full service. Very often just advice on what to do with certain colours, or space planning, or the procedure of implementation - is all that is required. Design Help offers exactly that. For an hourly fee, Debby Thurston will visit you in your own home and answer your questions and advise you accordingly to the best of her ability and experience as an interior designer.
It has been a very successful service and often clients have several sessions, as they make their own way, managing their project, and just asking for advice when needed. (See Past Clients Comments). This can be a very economical and easy way to get professional advice and achieve the interior you want by 'doing it yourself'.
There is a Design Help Questionnaire which can be submitted on line or posted in advance with a small deposit and a convenient date is arranged for the appointment and usually after some discussion about samples and preparation for the meeting to make the most of the time allocated.
Design Help Fee
The Design Help Fee is £90 per hour with a £10 deposit sent with the questionnaire. The fee covers travelling and parking and can be broken into half hour sessions after one hours duration.
Follow up information can be forwarded via post or email and if more in depth help is required, then a fee for the work involved can be quoted for in writing. Eg. Plans, Colour Schemes, Lighting Design etc.
A days notice is required for cancellation or re-arrangement of an appointment to avoid a fee being charged.
